- 1 package rice paper wrappers
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup water chestnuts, chopped
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Instructions
- Soak the rice paper wrappers in warm water until pliable.
- Prepare the shrimp mixture by combining shrimp, water chestnuts, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and white pepper.
- Form the dumplings by placing a spoonful of the shrimp mixture in the center of a soaked rice paper wrapper and folding it over.
- Steam the dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper for about 10-12 minutes.
- Serve with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Use very fresh shrimp for the best flavor. Don’t overstuff the dumplings to avoid tearing. Experiment with fillings.
